Never break a loss limit again.

How it protects you

Attach it to any one chart. From then on it watches every position on the account: every symbol, every Expert Advisor and every manual trade. When the loss gets close to a limit it acts before the limit is reached:

• Closes all open trades and deletes pending orders.
• Keeps trading locked: a new trade opened during the lock, by you or by an EA, is closed at once.
• Daily limit: locked until the next reset. Maximum loss: locked for good.
• Safety buffer: it steps in at, for example, 80% of a limit, so slippage and gaps can't push you over.
• Pop-up alerts and push notifications to your phone.

Your firm's rules, built in

Pick your firm and the guard counts the limits the way that firm does:

• FTMO 2-Step: daily 5% of the initial balance, from the balance at midnight Prague time; maximum loss 10%, static.
• FTMO 1-Step: daily 3%; maximum loss 10%, trailing the highest midnight balance.
• FundedNext Stellar 2-Step: daily 5% from the balance at server midnight; maximum loss 10%, static.
• The5ers High Stakes: daily 5% of the higher of balance and equity at server midnight; maximum loss 10%, static.
• Custom: set every rule yourself.

The day resets in the firm's own time zone (server time, Prague, New York or UTC), with summer time handled for you. The presets follow the rules the firms published in October 2026. Firms change their rules, so compare the panel with your firm's dashboard before you trade.

Account Guard Pro locked after 80% of the maximum loss limit was used: every trade closed, trading locked for good.

More than the two limits

• Loss cap per trade: closes a single trade once its loss reaches your cap, for example 1% of the initial balance.
• Trades without a stop loss: leave them, close them, or let the guard add a stop at exactly your cap. EAs get a few seconds to set their own stop first.
• Trade limits: maximum open positions, total lots and new trades per day.
• News lock: no new trades around high-impact news, only on the symbols that use that currency. It uses MetaTrader's own economic calendar: nothing to set up.
• Friday close: closes everything at the time you choose and keeps trading locked until Monday.

The panel shows the active rules, today's result, the exact floor for each limit, how much of it is used, the next news release and when the day resets.

How we tested it

In the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester on a 100,000 USD account, with deliberately oversized random trades, January to April 2026:

• FTMO 2-Step preset on gold: the daily lock fired at 83% of the limit and lifted at midnight Prague time; the maximum-loss lock fired at 81%; every trade without a stop loss got one.
• FTMO 1-Step preset on EURUSD: the maximum-loss floor followed the highest midnight balance and never moved down.
• Custom rules with a New York reset across the March clock changes: the day lasted 23 and 25 hours, as it should.

No limit was crossed in any run.

Good to know

• MetaTrader must be running for the guard to work. A VPS is the safe choice for a funded account.
• A trade closed by the guard closes at the market price, so in a very fast market it can fill a little beyond your cap. A stop loss the guard sets is placed exactly at the cap.
• A lock survives restarts of MetaTrader.
• Works on hedging and netting accounts.
